BOOK OF NOADIAH 4
Pride, confused
1 Pride is the devil. 2 They do set gravestones in the heart; wherefore dost thou torment thyself with its fruit? For it slaughtereth and breaketh through the layers of the firmament in thy neshama. How shall these matters be explained, borne by a white stench laden with reincarnated contradictions?
The New Tower
3 In twenty and eight hours, remembrance shall endure forever. Only the Almighty knoweth by His measure that which shall never be loosed.
4 All words shall be declared unto thee;
All tunes they shall be fashioned for thee;
All that is written shall speak of thee;
Where am I, who melt within thee?
5 Towers are built,
Wherein we lock ourselves.
6 Forge ye these towers flat without, yet convoluted within. 7 I heard blasts beside a peaceful battleground, neither mighty nor steadfast. A strain of godliness crieth unto His people, stretched forth in lamentation.
A Vision
8 Lovely are Thy creations, timeless, and formless. 9 Not by living alone, but through our gatherings; 10 not by surety of steadfastness, but by the seeking of tenderness. 11 Lacking escape, shepherded by drowsy wandering.
12 We scribe each passing moment with gladness:
Blessed be thine,
13 Thou appearest marvelous and just;
Yea, of how the waters could take its form,
Shaping clouds in the æther.
14 Thou beckonest, as thou departest upon thy path. Rejoice —
For the waves do bear thee onward.
